There is a new Add+vantage module for Journalism that will be working directly with the Coventry Uni press office creating copy for internal and external publications and for broadcast.

This is a good opportunity for you to gather a good job portfolio, showreel and get contacts for after graduation – and be published now.

“The module will run over the first and second terms and will provide students the time to gather a wide range of stories during the course of the academic year.”

“It is essential that the any student wishing to undertake this module has proven experience in journalism, the ability to use their own initiative and keep their eyes and ears open for something that is newsworthy.  They will then be able to work with the university to help them get it published’   (from the MIDs)

You can have a look at the mids online A303MC.  We will be meeting on Tuesday afternoon from 4 – 5 starting 12th Oct.

Ali Bushnell (from the press office) will be part of the team.

As you can see, this is only open to those with ‘journalism experience’.

This will be the first of its kind and you could be part of shaping it.

If you have aleady signed up for another Add+vantage module and want to change to A303MC, we can do that during Induction week or see Brenda in the office.

Any questions or to sign up see Shelly Stevenson or send her an email to shelly.stevenson@coventry.ac.uk.

For 130MC the Lecture on Monday the 5th of October will be at 2.30 pm  in room ETG34, not at 1.00 pm.

Welcome to Journalism!

It’s normal to be a bit apprehensive about learning how to research, filter and report the news.  That’s why this is here!

We’ll all talk about what we’re going to be learning, upload broadcast packages, print and web stories.
